Have you ever wondered just how toxic your environment is? What about your body?
Regardless if you do have regular bowel movements or not, your body probably stores a lot of toxins, most of them trapped in the extra fat layers.
The general belief is that when you are constipated your body holds the dangerous toxins, but the reality is even if you are not constipated your body is filled with toxins which make is fat and ill. This is because the human body stores the toxins in the fat deposits when it’s not able to remove them right away. This is how the body protects itself and your internal organs from the highly toxic environment we live in. There are toxins everywhere: in the food we eat with extra sugar, in processed foods, cleaning products, cosmetics and vegetables. The amount of dangerous substances in these products is high, as there are many neurotoxins to avoid, most of them altering your brain function, as well as other parts of your body. Luckily, there are many ways to avoid toxins and cleanse our bodies, as well as our life.
1. Invest in a water filter
The best way to detox your life and body is to drink natural spring water. This is the water collected in a glass container right from the spring. No plastic bottles involved, no nitrites! If you don’t happen to live next to a spring, do what we all do and invest in a water filter, which can filter out the chlorine and other chemicals from the tap water, making is safe to drink.
2. Pay attention to what you eat
Eating or drinking healthy foods is not enough to detoxify your life and your body. You need to go one step closer and go beyond that. The first step is to choose better foods. Green juices made from pesticides-free vegetables, with added chlorella or spirulina, are great for ensuring the amount of nutrients needed for the day. At the same time, they will support the natural detox process.
Another way to detox your body is eating foods rich in water, such as cucumbers and watermelons. Aim to eat these raw, as preparation can destroy most of their nutritional value.
3. Go organic with your household items
Apart from food, there are many other things rich in toxins, which are then passed into your system. The first example is the teflon cookware, which releases dangerous compounds in the food. Second, there are lots of chemicals in the cleaning products and cosmetics. You can ditch them by embracing organic products, made with essential oils.
4. Exercise and frequent the sauna
One of the ways your bodies releases toxins is sweat. Exercising is a great way to start sweating. On top of this, the more you move, the more you stimulate your blood flow. In turn, this promotes bodily functions and sweating. Besides, sitting is said to be deadly.
Sauna sessions are other great ways to detoxify and enhance your blood flow. As the blood flow is increased, your tissues are oxygenated, increasing the performance of your organs and speeding your metabolism.
5. Sleep, sleep, sleep
The human body needs sleep in order to function, so you need to make sure you are getting enough of it. In order to get high quality sleep, you should turn off all the electronic devices and turn off all the light sources. The temperature is also important: it should be around 68 degrees F.
Fresh air is also part of the detox process, so open the windows and breathe deep for couple of minutes, both in the morning and before sleep. Proper breathing stimulates the lymphatic system and oxygenates your body.
