This was stated by the Minister while replying to a question by Krishan Chander Bhagat in Legislative Assembly here today.
The Minister said that Central Government has sanctioned setting up of 18 polytechnics in the State at uncovered districts of which one polytechnic institution would be established in Udhampur district. He said in this regard the Centre has released Rs. 36. 48 crore and process of land acquisition and infrastructure building have been initiated.
Replying to the supplementaries of Harsh Dev Singh, Balwant Singh Mankotia and Jagdish Raj Sapolia, the Minister said that setting up of ITI at Ramnagar constituency would be also taken up on priority after receiving the necessary approval for opening of 50 ITIs from the Centre. He said the land execution matter for polytechnic college in Udhampur has been taken up with concerned revenue authorities. He said Kathua would also get a polytechnic institute out of 18 sanctioned polytechnics from the Centre.
Teachers of Bani not attached / deployed: Peerzada
Minister for School Education, Peerzada Mohammad Sayeed has said that on specific need basis in the interest of academic session, as many as five masters and 38 teachers have been deployed to different schools of District Kathua. He said no master or teacher from Bani constituency has been attached and deployed to any other educational institution of the district, adding that since academic session is almost over now, all the masters and teachers have been directed to report to their substantive places.

Land identified for construction of Indoor Sports Stadium: Chib
Minister for Technical Education, Youth Services and Sports, R. S. Chib has said that Youth Service and Sports department has identified 10 kanals of alternate land for construction of Indoor Sports Stadium Kathua. He said land execution matter would be resolved with concerned revenue authorities on priority for taking up the work.

Replying to the supplementary by Mir Saifullah, the Minister said that under operation Sadhbhavna, several play grounds were taken up in Nowshera, Rajouri and Kupwara areas, however. He assured that work on Kupwara stadium would be accelerated which due to unrest and inclement weather was delayed.
