Poetry From The Heart
The sun heats my shoulders to a toasty warm
as the morning’s chill clings to my whole body.
I look out at the pasture; Magnolias have burst
exposing huge beauties hanging among its limbs.
Leaves like waxen figures droop like sad children
the dew causes the lush to flash like diamonds.
Memories linger of moments we shared camping
droplets gathered on your curly dark hair
a kinky headed doll with massive blue eyes.
Sought-after lips preserved their beauty and…
a desire to kiss and to smooch your silken neck
drives me into an instant state of missing you.
I hold onto that moment with every inch of life
leaves me weak and trembling with heartache.
I’m lost in a fast paced world of wickedness and bribes
holding onto the epoch of love, happiness and eternity.
Time budges along, a teen waiting to become age 21
waiting as you greet me to join you in Heaven.
