Did Flaws Cause Demise?

Poetry From The Heart

A mist swathes my body
calms a twisted and suffering mind
threatens survival of an existence.
Tears, intense and painful
it’s been twenty-two years today.

A blizzard snatched him up
no rationale, no premonition, no warning
winds swept him up in shafts
right into another’s arms.

Standing by the water insecurities surge
daub a raw and damaged heart
try to catch a glimpse of tomorrows
no love and a missing family.

A life devoid of his strengths and energies…
left me without a desire to step out in life
turn-on my most brilliant light
healing weaknesses bestowed.

Did my flaws cause the demise
or was it a sexy body and pretty face?
Offense and deceit robs self-esteem and fortitude
leaves me vulnerable and unable to cope.

Foresee currents to cleanse my spirit
nourish my soul for a renewal and assurance
to soar above misfortunes and heartaches
lifting me higher than an ascending eagle
fill me with security and self-esteem to survive.
