6 More Kidnapped by Taliban

6 Persons kidnapped from Pak Afghan border area Arandu.

CHITRAL: 3 Drivers and 3 Labors were kidnapped from Jangshal area of Arandu some 90 Kilometers from here. According to SHO police station Arandu 3 drivers namely Panjarish Khan resident of Kaiso Drosh, Esa Gul of Khair Abad, Fazal Akbar of Drosh as well as three labors Mir Rahman of Jangshal Arandu, Khalil of Khoti and Wakeel of Khoti were abducted by some unknown persons from Jangshal area to some unknown destination. Police said that these labors were busy in nearby forest in cutting of wood (trunks) and were carrying here in vehicles but they were abducted from the spot. Local source disclosed that these persons might be abducted by Afghan Taliban to Nooristan area of Afghanistan because the area is adjacent to Nooristan border. This is forth attempt by Afghan Taliban in the area of this nature. Earlier that they had kidnapped former correspondent of BBC Pushto Service Akhtar Kohistani who was released after payment of ransom. A Greek Volunteer Atanasuis was kidnapped from Bumborate last year to Nooristan area who was recovered from Nooristan in the month of April of this year after some dealing and payment to Afghan Taliban, they kidnapped 6 persons from a forest near Kalash valley and 3 of them were slaughter (killed) while the remaining 3 were released and now they once again kidnapped 3 persons from Jang Shaal area. Besides it they had snatched 8 weapons from security forces near Arandu post. Arandu police has lodged FIR and started further investigations. Hence reasons behind this case could not ascertain immediately.

Posting of Doctors demanded at RHC Varijun.

CHITRAL: A meeting of women cluster (organization) of Tehsil Mulkoh was held here under the chair of Miss Shagufta Naz president of women cluster organization. Women members expressed their great concern over the non availability of Doctors and health facilities in newly constructed Rural Health Center (RHC) Varijun. They said that Varijun is a very overpopulated area of Tehsil Mulkoh but there is no health facility by the government in the entire area. They said that although there was a Basic Health Unit but unfortunately there is no doctor in that health unit since long and now a new building of RHC completed and was also taken over by health department but there is neither doctor nor any health staff in the hospital. They also expressed their concern over that an old transformer has been installed in the RHC by contractor instead of a new one and it is fear that this old transformer would be damaged sonly if the hospital was electrified. Miss Shagufta Naz and other member demanded from high ups of health department for fulfillment vacant posts of Doctors and urged on health department for posting here a lady doctor as a special case because the women patients are facing great hardships especially in case of emergency there is no facility for women folk.
