60 Sheep die in Anantnag south Kashmir

Srinagar, May 27 (Scoop News) -During the intervening night of 25/26.05.2011, due to heavy rain/ thunder about 60 sheep died at Nowkhan Zabarpathri, Anantnag, falling under the jurisdiction of police post Larnoo Kokernag. 

1 drowns, 2 rescued in Karnah

On return from a marriage ceremony at Batpora Didar Karnah two girls and a boy namely Rakeena age 18 years daughter of Mohammad Ismail Raina, Mukhtahar Ahmad Raina age 8 years son of Mohammad Ismail and Halima age 14 years daughter of Abdul Rehman resident of Nowa Gabra Karnah fell down in Batmagi Nala from a foot bridge at Faiz Abad, Kupwara falling under the jurisdiction of police station Karnah, in which Mukhtahar Ahmad and Halima were rescued by locals. However efforts are on to retrieve the body of Rakeena daughter of Mohammad Ismail Raina. Further details are awaited.

NHPC labourer injured in Budgam

 A labourer of NHPC namely Abdul Rouf Malik age 28 years son of Abdul Gani resident of Daharmuna Saibugh, Budgam got injured due to electric shock during repairing of electric line near village Rankipora, Budgam falling under the jurisdiction of police station Beerwah. Injured was shifted to SMHS hospital, Srinagar for treatment. A case has been registered in this regard. 

Man consumes poison in Srinagar

 One Mudasir Ahmad Shagoo age 28 years son of Abdul Khaliq resident of Qamarwari Srinagar, consumed some poisonous substance at his residence and has been referred to SKIMS Soura for treatment. A case has been registered in this regard.
