600 goats stolen from Drosh

 600 goats stolen from Chitral shifted to Nooristan area of Afghanistan.

CHITRAL: some 600 goats were abducted from Badogal (Shina goal) of Tehsil Drosh some 55 KM from here. According to police station Drosh Mehboob son of Bulbul lodged report at police station that some 10 unknown (armed) masked persons enter their property and stolen  their 600 goats and shifted to some unknown place. Drosh police lodged proper FIR against unknown accused and started investigations.  Hence Haji Inzar Gul a worker and leader of PPPP told this scribe that some unknown persons entered the houses of Mehboob, Jamdool and Muhammad Ali etc. they warned the owners of these goats and taken 600 goats on gunpoint to Nooristan area of Afghanistan situated on the border of Chitral. He said that the unknown masked and armed persons also tried to kidnap two persons hence they success to escape. This is the third incidence of abducting and shifting of from Drosh area to some unknown destination.

Pedestal Suspension Bridge collapsed at Shiaqo tak.

 

A pedestal (suspension) bridge at connecting some 5 villages to Chitral at a flood nullah of Shiaqo tak village collapsed suddenly hence no human loss reported until filling of this report. After damaging of this pedestal bridge inhabitant of this area disconnected from Chitral.

 

Snow clearance work suspended at Lawari Pass due to bad weather PD NHA.

Due to disturb and sever cold  weather snow removing work from the top of Lawari pass were suspended which has been started last Friday it will be re-started as and when the weather is clear Project Director of Lawari Rail Tunnel (NHA) Abdus Samad told this scribe. He said that due to bad weather a PIA flight also was diverted back to Peshawar from Lawari top and snow-removing work was also suspended. He said that it would be started again if the weather were clear and no chance of more snowfall. It is worth to mention here that Chitral has been disconnected from other parts of the country after closing of Lawari top the only land route connecting Chitral to other sorts of the country due to heavy snowfall. While on the other hand PIA flights also suspending due to disturb weather as well as land route via Kunar of Afghanistan is also not feasible for Chitrali passengers because of ongoing operation against militants at Muhmand and Khyber agency where Chitral people travel via Jalalabad or Chaqa Sray.

 

JI protested against longest breakdown of power supply.

Hundred of Jamati Islami workers protested at PIA square against the longest load shedding and not opening of Lawari top for vehicular traffic. Addressing to the protest rally Amir Jamat Islami former MPA Maulana Ghulam Muhammad lamented Wapda (Pesco) for exercising longest and un-scheduled  load shedding. They also lamented concerned quarter for not opening of Lawari top for vehicular traffic despite that work has been stared for the last one week. They also passed a unanimous resolution demanding for finishing the longest load shedding ,  opening of Lawari top and increasing in PIA flights between Peshawar Chitral.

 

Jeep able bridge inaugurated by Tehsil Nazim.

 

CHITRAL:  A jeep able bridge with a cost of 500000 was completed by village conservatin committee and wild life department at Kujoo village. Tehsil Nazim Chitral Sartaj Ahmad Khan was chief guest on the occasion. Addressing to the ceremony Tehsil Nazim hailed services of local VCC and encourage them to work more for uplifting of the area. He said that recently completed jeep able bridge was long awaited demand of these people because during flood or raising water level in the canal inhabitants especially women folk and children were facing numerous problems during crossing this nullah.
