Anantnag:-At Anantnag, the Minister for Education, Peerzada Mohammad Sayeed unfurled the tricolour and took salute at the march past presented by the contingents of JKP, JKAP, CRPF, NCC and school children.
Addressing the people, the Minister said the present coalition government is determined to alleviate poverty, unemployment and illiteracy from the State and in this context a series of measures have been initiated. He said the Government has prioritized education, health, power and PHE sectors hoping that the day was not far away when our State would achieve self sufficiency on all fronts. He appealed people to extend full cooperation to the Government.

At the district headquarters of Kulgam, Latief-u-Zaman Deva, Bandipora, Sheikh Mushtaq Ahmad, Kupwara, Mr. Mohammad Abbas, Pulwama, Iahriyaq Ahmad Ashai, Shopian, Mohammad Ramzan Thokar and Budgam, Muhammad Rafi the respective Deputy Commissioners hoisted the national flag and took salute at the march past presented by the contingents of JKP, JKAP, CRPF, NCC and school children.
On the occasion, cultural programmes were presented by the Information department and school children.
Similar functions were held at Tehsil headquarters of Pattan, Uri, Sopore, Handwara, Gurez, Karnah, Pahalgam, Dooru, Shangus, Tangmarg, Bijbehara, Tral and Pampore.
Kargil: At Kargil, Chief Executive Councilor, LAHDC, Kargil, Kachu Ahmad Ali Khan unfurled the national flag and took salute at the march past presented by the JKP, JKAP, CRPF, NCC cadets and school children.
Leh: At Leh, Chief Executive Councilor, Tsering Dorja hoisted the flag and took salute at the march past.
