In child pornography raids that have been carried out over ten days, police has seized larges amounts of pedophile material found on various computers. This was the result of an investigation of internet users in Spain using international websites. It was all part of a two-year investigation.
This international operation was executed with assistance from the US, German, and New Zealand police. Four Russians were arrested who were detained in the resorts of both Lloret de Mar and Benidorm. They were suspected of making 200,000 Euros by selling access to those pictures.
As a result, those arrests gave investigators the vital information enabling the police to arrest 59 others. Those arrested included the ringleaders of both production and distribution along with their clients. This is Spain’s second operation of this nature. In July, 66 people were arrested on child pornography charges.
