7% polling recorded in first 2 hours in the Udhampur Parliamentary constituency of J&K: Chief Elect

 

 

       Uhadumpur,April 23 – The Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), J&K,. B. R. Sharma has said that about 7 per cent polling has been recorded up to 9.00 a.m. in the Udhampur  Parliamentary constituency (PC), where polling is being held in the second phase of the five-phased Lok Sabha elections in the State.

            The Chief Electoral officer said that polling was slow initially, but has picked up pace across all the 17 Assembly segments in the Udhampur PC.

Polling Station No. 58 at Government High School, Rang

 

 

73 votes were polled out of 950 up to 9.50 a.m. Mr. Jaffo Ram of 99 years of the same village also cast his vote at the polling station.

 

Banihal

 

Polling Station No. 24 at Middle School Tranchi Hall, Banihal

 

 

125 votes were polled out of 1106 votes. Mr. Mohammad Iabal, 47 was the first to cast the vote in this polling station.  Numberdar, Ghulam Hussain and Rehmat Begam, both 90 years old also cast their votes.

  1. 76 votes were polled out of 632. Smt. Giano Devi, 105, cast her vote in the polling station.
  2. 45 votes were polled out of 528. Jai Dai,100 also cast her vote.
  3. 103 votes were polled out of 713. Ghulam Din of 95 years also cast his vote.
  4. 85 votes were polled out of 432 & Saloo Ram 85 years was the first to cast his vote
