7th Anniversary Of The 2005 Earth Quake Observed Oct 8, 2012 | Health & Science, Media & Tech Share Tweet Pin G Plus Email Srinagar 8th October 2012:: Social Royal Voluntary Environmental Service ( SRVES ) observed the 7th anniversary of "the earthquake of 2005" in which hefty number of Volunteer’s participated. On the juncture C.E.O SRVES Er. M.M.Idrees ul Haq Beigh, awed the Government of Jammu and Kashmir to Use latest Earth quake Detecting techniques so that a large amount of economy and lives of people could be saved. In his vocalizations he urged the government of Jammu and Kashmir to install the early earth quake Alarm detector’s at the highest prone Zones and also suggested the people Not to erect structures without consulting Disaster Management Cell . He also hailed the efforts of Jammu & Kashmir Disaster Management for undertaking various awareness and capacity development programmes , but urged to the Jammu and Kashmir Disaster management to work at grass root level by conducting Mock Drills, awareness activities at mohalla/Town/Sub Area level. Later a power point presentation titled " Earthquake and be quick" was shown to the audience present their, which telecasted the effects of the 2005 earth quake on Kashmir and showcased the new technologies used abroad to forecast early such innate disaster.
