Srinagar, July 08 Srinagar ,July 08 (Scoop News) -: Yesterday afternoon due to land slide between Tangtsy and Leh road got washed away at the point of Choltak. 87 stranded passenger vehicles got stranded.
Police said that Police and district Administration rescued all the stranded passengers who safely reached Leh. Some more vehicles on way from Chushul via Tsaga.
Man dies, lady injured as shell explodes in Budgam
Ali Khan , age 40 years, son of Sulla Khan resident of Shonglipora, Budgam, falling under the jurisdiction of police station Khag died when a artillery shell exploded accidentally at Tosa Maidan, Budgam field firing range. Also Zeba , age 60 years, wife of Abdullah Malik resident of Shunglipora was injured in this incident. After completing all legal formalities body handed over to his relatives for last rites. However, injured lady was given medical treatment by the army authorities and her condition is stable.
House gutted in fire
Srinagar, July 08: Fire broke out in the joint residential house of Ghulam Hassan Bhat son-in-law of Mehda Bhat, Javaid Ahmad Bhat, Nisar Ahmed Bhat sons of Mehda Bhat resident of Mandoora, Awantipora, falling under the jurisdiction of police station Tral. The said house was damaged partially alongwith house hold goods. Cause of fire is being ascertained.
