Christian Health Care Center is hosting their fifth annual Heroes Day celebration on Tuesday, September 11, 2012. The day is set aside to remember the sacrifices of September 11, 2001 and to honor and thank uniformed officials and service groups who support our community every day.
The free community event takes place at 855 Aaron Drive in Lynden between 9:30-11am. First responders and other service organizations will be on hand; attendees can enjoy light refreshments while touring emergency response vehicles and talking with police officers, fire fighters, paramedics and more.
“Heroes Day has developed into a multigenerational community event that we are so proud of. People of all ages bring their patriotic spirits and help us show appreciation to those who protect and serve us all,” shares Catherine Ries-El Bara, CHCC’s administrator.
Event parking will be available along Aaron Drive. Groups of more than 10 people are encouraged to RSVP by calling 360-354-4434.
