A video recorded in June of Vice Presidential candidate and Alaskan Governor Sarah Palin speaking to a group at Wasillia Assembly of God Church in Alaska has surfaced and finally provided interested citizens with some details and descriptions of her policies and plans. One of the main themes of the speech, sensibly so when considering her audience, is her strong Christian faith.
Palin says in the church video, "I can do my job there in developing our natural resources and doing things like getting the roads paved and making sure our troopers have their cop cars and uniforms and guns and making sure our public schools are funded but really, all of that stuff doesn’t do any good if the people of Alaska’s heart isn’t right with God."
Palin commends U.S. servicemen and women in her video and urges the congregation to pray for the military who are on "a task from God." This hits especially home as she retells some of her family story about her son in the military and her memories of growing up at Wasillia Assembly of God Church.
Sarah Palin’s speech is a short seven minutes and is followed by a group prayer seeking to give Palin strength and show support for the state of Alaska.
