A catastrophic event turned sweet

Many at times people are left wondering, what will happen in case of a catastrophe? For those who have not experienced devastating situations in their lives, may think is just a joke. In this article, I am going to talk about the lifestyle changes one can make in case a disaster hits you or your family.

Recently, we have heard cases of families left homeless after floods or earthquakes hit their homes and left them to start from the scratch. Nobody ever predicts when things will go amiss and hence early preparations are vital for their survival. In places constantly being hit by catastrophes, my advice will be of utmost importance for their survival in the event of repetition.

First, families that live near coasts or areas prone to floods need to constantly to have floating gears in their homes. These will come in handy when a flood hit and floating is necessary for their survival. Life saver jackets can be got at a cheap price and every member of the family can be bought one.

In addition, extra foods need always to be there. It is advisable to buy more of food stuffs that can stay for long. In the event of a catastrophe hitting, people who would have stored food, would feed on it before waiting for relief food, which in most cases is delayed. Starvation in times of catastrophes is among one of the leading causes of death and can be avoided by such means.

Furthermore, overdependence on electricity is disadvantageous when it comes to crisis. I would like to advice people prone to catastrophes to buy solar run gadgets so as not to be over-dependent on electricity. Communication is always vital in catastrophe areas and if one possessed such a gadget, saving him or her can be easier.

Finally, it is always good to prepare in time than to be caught off guard when it comes to natural calamities. A man’s life is of great importance to the society and death cannot be compensated. In the past years, we have many important people dying in different calamities of which could have been avoided.
