Here’s a good idea for a coffee table book. For decades, the only grounds for divorce in New York State was adultery. "Fake adulteries" became an industry. A husband would be ushered into a hotel and paired with a scantily clad woman. Then a photographer would rush in, snapping their embraces. The resulting pictures would be introduced at the trial.
Those photos would make a memorable book.
