Poetry From The Heart
Riches won’t buy a true love…
that’ll fill a heart craving kisses and hugs.
Fortunes buy fancy cars and other things
it cannot buy love from human beings.
Caches can buy a beautiful home
it won’t caress a body if you’re alone.
Treasures are leaden if there’s no passion…
leaves a soul anxious and with no satisfaction.
A gem’s sparkly won’t last if there’s no shine
life becomes boring and with no sublime.
Gold and silver is nice to attain …
but it doesn’t cause a heart to flame.
People grow old with hoards they store…
leaves a heart cold right down to its core.
Monies put food on the table and clothes to wear
it don’t buy a sweetheart to honor and to share.
Dosh offers happiness for a brief time
leaves a vacant heart wailing a pine.
Riches won’t buy a true love…
that’ll fill a heart craving kisses and hugs.
Money buys a lot of priceless things
but without affection life surely stings.
Riches won’t buy a true love…
if a person yearns to be kissed and hugged.
