The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) detained a Hijbut-Tahrir activist yesterday from Mirpur in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh. His name is Amir Hamza, and he is 23 years of age. It has known from him that he is a student of honors at Dhaka College.
Yesterday after the Friday Jumma prayers at the Shewrapara Central Mosque area, he was arrested while distributing leaflet to people. The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested him yesterday, but they officially announced about the matter today.
RAB-4 operation Officer Kamrul Islam said to reporters that, after Friday prayers Amir Hamza was arrested in front of the mosque at Shewrapara while he was distributing leaflets which contained negative and false violent remarks about the government and the army. He also said that, RAB seized huge amount of leaflets and posters from him while he was arrested.
