Peshawar, Pakistan: Since the establishment of Pakistan in 1947, for the first time in the history of Pakistan some 1 million people are fleeing from the troubled areas of Swat, Buner and some other parts of North Western Pakistan, towards the refugee camps.
These camps were established by the government, UN and ICRC in Mardan and Swabi districts, according to media reports.
The provincial government, not having enough funds, is looking at the world’s donor and relief organizations for the rehabilitation of the IDPs in these camps.
The opposition leader in Parliament, Chaudhary Nisar said that PML (N) fully supports the military operation in Swat, Buner and other parts of Malakand agency.
The writ of the government was challenged in Swat and it was necessary to establish it again and bring the peace to the valley.
The Taliban groups in Swat and Malakand division have connections with the enemies, he added.
Moreover, the Pakistani Prime Minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani was speaking to the lower house of the parliament where he said that government is ready to convene all parties about the ongoing military operation against the Taliban insurgents in Swat.
I respect the objections raised by the members about not taking them into confidence about the Swat operation, he added.
