A large number of IDPs from Swat to other parts of N.W.F.P

Swat, Pakistan: Due to military operation and the growing Taliban militancy in Swat valley and other adjacent areas, the locals have already started migrating from Swat valley to other safer parts of Pakistan.

 

The provincial government is already coping with IDPs (Internally Displaced People) from Bajaur agency, which migrated to Peshawar and other areas like Charsadda and Mardan and the camps had been established there in past.

 

Today the senior Provincial Minister Bashir Bilour was talking to a private news channel where he said that the provincial government is planning to establish new refugee camps for the displaced people of troubled areas.

 

These people will be settled in the new camps near Mardan, Swabi and Charassada, he added.

 

A large number of locals are evacuating the different parts of Swat, Buner and Kumbar Maidan of Lower Dir, according to media sources.

 

The Provincial Information Minister Mian Iftikhar Hussain was talking to journalist here at the provincial capital of North Western Pakistan where he said the government is expecting some 500, 000 people from the troubled areas towards Peshawar and other areas.

 

The provincial government has ordered all the district government to take necessary steps for the displaced families and the camps are being established to accommodate the refugees from the troubled areas.
