Mumbai: A Pakistani singer who was going to participate in an Indian Musical programme was stopped by a Hindu extremist group.
The Pakistani singer, Zaheer Abbas, who was the winner in the first contest of Indian famous musical show, Sa Re Ga Ma, on an Indian channel, ZEE TV, was threatened by a Hindu Extremist group Shiv Sena and asked him not to come to India.
Zaheer Abbas, received a phone call from his coordinator Jitendar Anand, who is in Mumbai at the moment told him not to come because the organizers of the programme have also received the threats from the same extremist group and told them not to include any Pakistani singer in the programme.
It is not the first time that the Pakistani artistes are being threatened by the Hindu extremist groups; there was another similar incident with 2 other comedians, Shakil and Kashif.
Indian the self-proclaimed champion of the democracy seems to be a puppet in the extremist groups, somewhere they are attacking the minorities like Muslims and Christians and somewhere threatening the artistes, that is a pity and a crucial moment for the Indian leadership, on the other hand, it reflects the corrupt political system of this great democratic entity.
