A Pastor was Shot By Assassins After leaving The Church

A Pastor John Eneobong, the founder of a Calabar, croos River State-based Pentecostal church, Faith Builders’ Ministry, located at 8 Miles on the outskirts of the state caqpital, is battling with his life after he was shot by unidentified gunmen believed to be assassins.

The incident happened after he had finished an evening church service. The pastor, according to our source, had left church and was driving home, However, along the way, he decided to fuel his car at the National filling station, close to the flour Mill on the Murtala Mohammed highway. ” After buying bread at the bus stop, the pastor drove into the filling station to buy fuel. As soon as he drove out, some unidentified gunmen who had apparently been trailing him from the church, shot him several times at close range,” an attendant at the filling station said.

The gunmen, according to eye witness drove off in their car after shooting him, presuming him to dead ;; but the man was still breathing and we had to take him to hospital where he was revived”

At the University of Calabar Teaching Hospital ( LUTH) where doctors are battling to save  his life, about 36 pellets have been removed from him by the doctors.

” The attackers did not take anything from the pasdtor. that is why we strongly believe that it was as assassination attempt,” a source which craved annoymity said.
