A Proclamation For Salvation

A babe will be born in Bethlehem. His arrival is fortold.

Tis spoken by Isaiah, In the days of old.

Isaiah prophesied the coming, of Emmanuel.

The sacrificial lamb, the Son of God made man.

Who’d rescue man, from sin and death,

As only the Son of God can.

Oh holiest of holies, your time is soon at hand,

To live and be with man on earth,

As the Son of God, made man.

A shining star will light the heavens.

O’er Bethlehem it will hang.

A choir of heaven’s angels,

Will Harken, unto man, as their voices ring,

And Hossanah, Hossanah, Will be the hearald that they sing.

Jesus the Emmanuel, God with man on earth,

Will come that holy and fateful night,

To become for man, a second birth.

His life will not be easy.

A great sacrifice he’ll make.

He’ll suffer crucifixion, Just for mankind’s sake.

As sinless God, he takes our sins,

And heaps them on Himself.

And by this selfless action,

Sin and death end up on the shelf.

Three days later he’ll arise,

After freeing the souls in hell.

Providing for mankind, A release from sin,

And from death as well.

Jesus makes a promise

that when he will arise,

God will send the Holy Spirit

to enter all our lives.

He will be our helper,

and our guide up to the end,

and no matter what our needs or prayers,

on Holy Spirit we can depend.

Let’s offer glory to Our Father God.

Let’s praise Jesus Christ His Son.

Let’s honor the Holy Spirit,

Three persons of God in one.

The season of "Advent" is but a few weeks away, with Christmas to follow on its heels.

I am not gifted by God’s Holy Spirit in the ability to write as a poet. For some reason the gift of "Rhyme" seems to elude me but I felt to try. For those who are gifted in this area, please forgive this feeble attempt.
