Barbara’s Poetry From The Corner
I’ve walked a rainbow from beginning to end
searched for God in every cranny and bend.
Its colors often changed from gold to blue
seek His eyes in clouds I cannot see through.
I love the winds brushing against my cheeks
it’ll awaken a heart tired and grown weak.
The path is long and days run-off fast
I need God’s love to complete life’s task.
I sent Him away without a smile or a word
didn’t reveal why…it was sad and absurd.
I’ll never quit looking…it eases my soul
need His love to make my life whole.
This trial gets rigid to stroll every day
I’ll not give up nor will I ever say, “nay.”
I aim to search this earth as long as I’m able
asking for God’s guidance to keep me capable.
I’ve walked rainbows from beginning to end
searched for God in every cranny and bend.
I’ll not give up regardless of strains and pains
until God’s back in my heart forever to remain.
