A Seed Sowed To Become Human

Barbara’s Poetry From The Heart

I’m a seed sowed to become human
not by my choice to breed
an option by the sources
opts to embed and to fertilize
okay’s growth and to flourish
into a full term baby.

I’m a human born from a seed
need nourishment and care to survive
cannot respond to rigors of life
dependent on a caretaker
powerless and unable to articulate
idle without assistance.

I’m a human born from a seed
my foundation and limbs are frail
eyes protrude to view oddities of life.
I wait for offerings I’m proffered
not able to choose or select my pleas
I’m a victim of another’s choice.

I’m a human born from a seed
wait for origins to strengthen and develop
hope I’ll make it through term
without being harmed or destroyed.
I’m a human born from a seed
rely on the acuity of another’s decision…

to live and to exist.
