A Soaring Jet Zooms Out Of The Breakers

Poetry From The Heart

Ocean’s mist clings like crystals in his hair…
sun-tanned skin offers a-flair.
Funny smiles grace his rugged face
as parched lips pucker a damaged surface.
Muscular limbs welcome high wave’s
waits to show strong and brave intentions.

He stands erect on a surf board…sun glares…
exposes a physique causing women to stare.
Plays hide and seek beneath huge whitecaps
of sparkling beauty surfing beneath raging laps.
Beach watchers hold their breath
expects him to reappear…hands balance the test.

A soaring jet zooms out of the breakers…
a human mounted on a board glides like a firefly.
The briny rolls, moments intense and stimulating
it growls incredible power…grabs and lurches
a mean machine out to destroy invaders…
grants surfers a fight to succeed their exploit.

He sprints falling upon searing sand…
spent from a strenuous battle with the sea
knows he’ll never conquer its supremacy
to capture its splendor and ownership
accepts the fight to overcome weakness
in an attempt to triumph when it’s pathetic.
