As Christians, we all believe and accept that we worship a “Triune” God, meaning that our God though one, is spiritually comprised of three distinct entities in one. God the Father, God the Son, (Christ Jesus) and the third, The Holy Spirit.
As Christians we all quickly and willingly thank and acknowledge Almighty God Our Father for all that he permits for us in our lives.
As Christians we all acknowledge Jesus Christ for his contributions as saviour and redeemer in our lives and in our futures, and rightfully so.
Sorrowfully though, we either forget or seldom acknowledge the contributions of the Holy Spirit in our lives. And how wrong is that. Jesus himself cautions us about sinning against the Holy Spirit. LUKE: 12:10:
If any one member of the Holy Trinity deserved extra worship and praise from mankind, in my way of thinking it might be the Holy Spirit, for he is with us constantly in our lives carrying out God’s Will for us.
How is it that we can remember to honour and worship the Father and the Son, yet when it comes to giving praise and worship to the Holy Spirit the third member of the trinity of God we fall so shamefully short only acknowledging him during the period of Pentecost, when He is the one member who is with us constantly, He is the one delivering our prayers for our needs to the Father.
He is the one dwelling within us, who knows our deepest thoughts our direst needs even before we ourselves know them. He is the one who fulfills the Fathers will through us and delivers God’s graces to us as we need them.
This is made apparent to us right in the beginning of the Holy Bible during the time of creation: God had just begun his creating, creating the heavens and the earth, in GENESIS:1:2; we read: “And the spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.” So we can see from this that God and the Holy Spirit were working in conjunction with each other right from the very beginning. As God is getting ready to create man God says; “Let us make” man in “Our” image.
Few Christian acknowledge the importance of the Holy Spirit, until Jesus makes reference to Him both prior to his crucifixion and then again prior to his ascension but the Holy Spirit actually plays an important part in our life.
This is made evident to us through Almighty God though, in the book of PROVERBS: 8: 1-36; This whole chapter in Proverbs gives us incite to the importance of the presence of the Holy Spirit in our lives. God’s Holy Spirit carries and shares the total of God’s wisdom and knowledge, to be shared with all mankind, as man requires it.
Wisdom and knowledge are priceless commodities and we never realize their worth until we apply them to life situations. The thing is though, wisdom and knowledge are gifts from God delivered by God’s Holy Spirit, even though we might think we came up with the knowledge or the idea ourself and fail to give the Holy Spirit as God the third person of the trinity the deserved credit deserved for it.
God’s Wisdom and knowledge has proven itself invaluable to mankind from learning how to make weapons and fire, upto and including cell phones, or sending a rocket into space for exploration. Every thought, thought, Every invention invented, is shared to man by God’s Holy Spirit, as willed by the Father.
Everytime a seed becomes a plant, the Holy Spirit is active. Every time an animal of any kind comes to life, The Holy Spirit is active. Every time a child is born, it is through the Holy Spirit that life is sustained. Nothing but nothing takes place upon earth without God’s Holy Spirit being a part in it, and this is all orchestrated under the command of God the Father.
When one requires God’s Grace, or Mercy, or Love, when our needs whatever they might be are fulfilled, yes almighty God grants them to us but it is the Holy Spirit who delivers them unto us.
God is in action through the Holy Spirit on earth but the only time we as Christians actually acknowledge the Holy Spirit for all he does is around the time of Pentecost, when he manifests himself to the apostles of Christ.
As far as I know, since there is no scriptural or physical evidence of it God The Father has never set foot upon earth. Even in Eden with Adam and Eve it was the spirit of God whom Adam conversed with.
During the time of Noah it was the spirit of God that shared with Noah God’s plans for global destruction. In Exodus it is the spirit of God that delivers the ten plagues unto Egypt and the spirit of God wh spreads the Red Sea, or provides Manna or life giving waters.
It is the spirit of God who teaches all of the various Israelite leaders and kings how to defeat the enemies of the Israelite peoples throughout the old testament of the bible from Exodus to Malachi.
It was the Holy Spirit of God who inseminated Mary with Jesus permitting God to take on human form. LUKE: 1: 35:
Think about it. Without the Holy Spirit of God, we as Christians would have no Jesus to worship. We would have no redeemer for our sins and we would difinitely not have any path back to our Father God, no path back home to heaven. Instead, we would still be filled with our own sins and no way to be sanctified and be able to call God Father. The lake of fire would probably be our final destination after life here on earth.
