395 works completed in Karnah: Sagar
Minister for Rural Development, Mr Ali Mohammad Sagar has said as many as 7290 Job cards have been issued in Karnah tehsil during the last two years under MGNREGA, adding that in all 999 works were taken up for execution in the tehsil out of which 395 works have been completed.
This was stated by the Minister while replying to a question by Kafil-ul-Rehman in the Legislative Assembly here today.
The Minister said that Rs. 4.52 crore was made available to tehsil Karnah for execution of various works under MGNREGA during last two years.
No proposal for Tengpora flyover: Sagar
Minister for Rural Development, Mr Ali Mohammad Sagar has said that the Government has no proposal for construction of flyover at Tengpora (Batamaloo) bye-pass and Qamerwari Chowk presently, adding the road from Qamerwari chowk to Parimpora junction stand already sanctioned under Central Road Fund and is being upgraded four-lanes status.
This was stated by the Minister while replying to a question by Mohammad Irfan Shah in the Legislative Assembly here today.
The Minister said the road from Parimpora status junction to Narbal junction is also being 4-laned under PMRP by project BEACON. He said the widening of this road to the 4-lane status will considerably reduce conjunction and traffic jams.
In reply to another question by Iftikhar Hussain Ansari regarding upgradation of roads in Pattan constituency, the Minister said that upgradation of 30 road projects worth Rs 24.37 crore under NABARD is proposed to be taken up in the constituency, adding under CUPL of PMGSY, the upgradation work of 36 road projects is also to be taken up after approval of the sanction of funding from concerned quarters.
Relief provided to affected farmers of Kupwara: Bhalla
Minister for Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation, Raman Bhalla has said that Government has taken necessary steps to provide relief to affected families of Kupwara district, whose property and crops damaged due to incessant spells of rains in July and August 2010, adding Rs 50 lakh have been already released for compensation to the affected families besides Rs 2.25 lakh released for providing input subsidy to the affected farmers of the area.
This was stated by the Minister while replying to a question by Abdul Haq Khan in the Legislative Assembly here today.
The Minister said that Rs 32.14 lakh have been provided as cash assistance in respect of 939 cases who had suffered losses on account of damages to their residential houses.
The Minister said funds for restoration of public utilities under various sectors have been also released under CRF, adding that Government has submitted Rs 80 crore projects for funding to the Centre for permanent restoration measures in flood affected areas of the district.
