British actress Natasha Richardson has died from injuries sustained in a skiing accident, her husband Liam Neeson’s publicist has said.
Richardson, 45, who was a member of the Redgrave family, fell on a beginners’ slope at the Mont Tremblant resort in Canada on Monday.
She initially showed no sign of injury after the incident.
Relatives had gathered at her bedside at the Lenox Hill hospital in New York where she had been transferred.
She was later taken to hospital after feeling unwell and it was confirmed her injuries were critical.
Richardson starred on film and TV but won most acclaim for her stage work.
