CIMA art centre, Kolkata’s recent display of Indian works‘ Chamatkara’ at London sparked much adoration. It was Truly Indian Art exhibition that won many viewers in London.
It was for the first time that an exhibition presented an art historical perspective to contemporary Indian Art. The London exhibition opened exclusively to Indian Art lovers at kolkata on december 2nd 2011.
The Idea of Adbhuta–The idea of ‘Adbhutam rasa’ in Indian art emerged from the Hindu classical theory of the rasas (sensory experience), of reality being experienced through sight, taste, smell and perception. Reality was understood to be illusive.
