Advocates will be marching in support of Adam Braseel’s freedom on Tuesday, April 11, at the United States District Court in Nashville, Tennessee.
Adam Braseel was convicted in November 2007 for the murder of Malcolm Burrows and the assault of Rebecca Hill, in Tracy City, Tennessee, in 2006. Adam was sentenced to life in prison for the crimes. Adam’s supporters and his defense team believe that his conviction was based solely on faulty witness testimony. According to supporters, there is not one shred of physical evidence that ties Adam to the crimes.
In the years following Adam’s conviction, new information has come to light which favors Adam’s innocence. There are many unanswered questions about the murder of Malcolm Burrows, including the validity of Adam Braseel’s conviction. Evidence now suggests that Tennessee has convicted an innocent man for the crime.
Advocates are demanding that their voices be heard. Adam’s supporters strongly believe that the current evidence shows that Adam is innocent, therefore they believe that he should be exonerated of all charges. At the very least, current evidence suggests that Adam deserves a fair trail to prove his innocence. Adam’s upcoming federal habeas petition will be his last chance for freedom. Advocates are asking that you join team #AdamStrong in the upcoming march. Together, Adam’s supporters believe that everyone involved can make a difference.
