South Africa Trampled
Team India Crushed South Africa in the Finals of Future Series (Tri-nation series) yesterday. India defeated the South Africans by 6 wickets in Belfast Ireland. After a very extended time Indian team has beaten a Strong side and won a series outside India.
Sachin Tendulakar was given the Man of the series, he also completed his 15000 runs in ODI cricket, whereas Yuvraj Singh received the Man of the Match for his brilliant knock of 61 runs. Saurav Gangully picked 2 wickets, and there was a time when India was in a contented position to bound the South African team within 100 runs, mockingly there were no wide balls delivered by the Indian squad. This series although a petite one has proved to be a real morale booster for the Indian Cricket team which was going through a severe up and down subsequent to the World Cup catastrophe and coach Chappel departure.
Indian team is going to play next to Pakistan in the coming series, and later this month they will be joining the rest of the world to play the 20-20 World Cup 07. If Rahul’s boys carry out in the parallel mode, they can unquestionably look forward to get the 20-20 World Cup to India.
