Security has been further beefed up in entire Jammu and Kashmir following the serial blasts that rocked the national capital this evening, state Director General of Police Kuldeep Khoda said.
Police and security forces have been directed to remain alert in their respective areas of operation in both the divisions of the state, Khoda said .
They have been instructed to increase the number of flying squads and checkpoints have also been alerted to ensure checking of vehicles in their respective areas.
People have been advised to cooperate with the police and immediately inform the police control rooms if they find any suspicious movement of people or detect any suspicious object, he said.
