Delhi, Jammu, Kashmir
As, All India Kashmiri Samaj (AIKS) disowned controversial group of misguided youth calling themselves as Youth All India Kashmir Samaj (YAIKS), Omar Abdullah did not waste time in verifying credentials of them instead adopted them blindly, in a so called convention held here today.
According to General Secretary AIKS, on Jan 4 in a English daily it was publically mentioned “YAIKS is not at all associated with our organization, it may be kindly be noted that any statement or action taken by YAIKS has nothing to do with aim, objective and agenda pursued by our organization, which is apex body of KPs spread across the country and overseas”.
Discloser by AIKS has not only put working and track record of YAIKS on the brink of suspension but also has created a sense of insecurity among the community, especially for women folk and those working in Valley against appointment provided under PM’s package, one of the aggrieved employee said on the conditions of anonymity.
It is important to mention that for political and social groups it is important to have Youth Brigade along with them but it raises several questions as to why AIKS distances itself from YAIKS. Sources said that there are several acts committed by YAIKS worth to investigation. They said that nearly 15000 youth were asked to submit forms and Rs 50 as fee few years back by the office bearers of YAIKS to which no whereabouts of accounts were given by them.
Sources further informed that in the name of Charitable Trust ‘Vitasta’ KPs are being looted as full fee of Rs 150 is being charged to them besides medicine are provided at higher rates.
They questioned as to where from these jobs less managed to spent more than Rs 3 lacks for organizing convention in a situation where hundreds of KP families’ sleep with having food in the evening, hundreds of poor students among community are forced to leave their education mid way for the want of financial help and hundreds of women are forced to illicit trade due to want of money which they don’t have to feed their families’?
Meanwhile, Omar Abdullah ensured that he will do a lot in future for Kashmiri Pandit migrants but forgot to say what he has actually done for the past five years for them, senior PDP leader, R K Pardesi asked and questioned that CM do have time for token convention but did not have token ministry or representation for KP’s in his quorum of ministers.
