Jammu/Srinagar, January 21 (Scoop News) –Indian Air Force airlifted 1675 of stranded passengers between Jammu and Srinagar today.
Defence spokesperson said that number of sorties by air force air craft from Jammu today for rescue relief operation for stranded passengers between Jammu and Srinagar
He said that Air Force airlifted 700 from Jammu and 975 from Srinagar.
Defence spokesman said that il-76 started operation since 6-45 am from chandigarh and the il-76 and an-32 aircraft started operation from Jammu air base at around 8-30 am today..
Sorties are still going on and night sorties will be there if weather permits,he said.

Srinagar-Jammu – 225 Civilian passengers (incl children & ladies)
Jammu – Srinagar – 225 Civilian passengers
