Srinagar, January 27(Scoop News) – Air sorties arranged for Kargil and Gurez stranded passengers on Monday
Subject to fair weather, two sorties of AN-32 Kargil Courier, Indian Air Force plane, have been planned on Monday, 28th January between Kargil and Srinagar. Passengers have been asked to contact the concerned Liaison Officer.
Meanwhile, arrangements have also been made for airlifting stranded passengers of Gurez. Two sorties of Mi-17 have been planned between Bandipora to Kanzalwan and Bandipora to Baruab on 28th January. Passengers can contact the Addl DC Bandipora and SDM Gurez.
Volunteers hold social service camp at Hazratbal
On the occasion of Eid-e-Milad un-Nabi (SAW) a social service camp had been organized by Civil Defence, in collaboration with J&K Bharat Scouts and Guides, at Hazratbal, Srinagar since 25th January. The volunteers assisted the people visiting the ne, provided them refreshments and also helped the traffic police in regulating the traffic. The volunteers were led by ASI (M) Shabir Ahmad Khan and District Training Com, Imran Khan. Dy. Chief Warden, CD Srinagar, Aamir Ali conveyed appreciation to the volunteers for their selfless service, on behalf of Deputy Commissioner, Srinagar, Baseer Ahmed Khan, who is also the Controller, Civil Defence, Srinagar and DIG CD, Mubarak Ahmed Ganai.
