Akash Ambani attends Screen awards 2014

There’s no shortage of business tycoons in India. The country is home to some of the most famous business families in the world. One of the most prominent among them is The Ambani Family; the owners of India’s largest private sector enterprise – Reliance Industries Limited (RIL). Dhirubhai Ambani started RIL back in the 1960’s and since then the mantle has been passed to his eldest son, Mukesh Ambani. Mukesh Ambani has three children – Akash, Isha and Anant.

Among the celebrities and famous personalities at the Screen awards 2014 red carpet, the press seemed to be focusing on a smart young man in his early twenties. Wearing a navy blue jacket any self-obsesses style icon would have been proud of, he oozed class. He didn’t catch the eye of just the photographers, most of the people in attendance seemed to be aware of who he was. The man was none other than Mukesh and Nita Ambani’s son Akash Ambani. Entering the event with his brother Anant, tongues were wagging about the man’s persona and his charm. Many people went so far as to call him one of India’s hottest bachelors. But the Ambani scion isn’t all looks.

Akash Ambani is an alumnus of the Dhirubhai Ambani International School in Mumbai. As an undergraduate student, he attended Brown University, an Ivy League Institution. Nita Ambani has always stated that the education of her children is the first and foremost priority and Akash has stayed true to that. After graduating from Brown, he returned to India.

Following in the footsteps of his father and grandfather, Dhirubhai Ambani, the Ambani scion has taken a key interest in the business side of things. He is a stake holder in the Indian Premier League team, Mumbai Indians and has accompanied his father to many business meetings. Akash Ambani was present when RIL signed the $7.2 billion with BPin London. He along with his twin sister IshaAmbani own over 3 million shares in Reliance worth over Rupees 300 crore.

Clearly, the boy has taken to the business side of things as well. That’s not all; the Brown University Alumnus is a keen wildlife photographer. He often visits wildlife sanctuaries and national parks with his family.
