“Alaska Mythbusters” Barack Obama Group Addresses Sarah Palin

The Barack Obama campaign has organized a group of supporters that has worked with or ran against Republican Vice Presidential Candidate Sarah Palin to speak to reporters about Palin’s record. The Obama camp calls the group "Alaska Mythbusters."

"Alaska Mythbusters" includes former Alaska Governor Tony Knowles (who lost his seat to Palin) and Mayor Bob Weinstein of Ketchikan, Alaska. They will have their first event today as they field questions from reporters in a conference call.

The John McCain camp started a similar group but with the goal of validating Palin’s record and qualifications, not destroying them. McCain calls his group the "Truth Squad." Their first offensive move was to accuse Barack Obama of being sexist for his "lipstick on a pig" comment.

It will be hard to tell just how much of the "Alaska Mythbusters" and "Truth Squad" reports are lies or truths and how far that truth is bent. One thing that is certain is that these groups will spin every story to help their candidate come out on top.
