A new study has found that the genetic variations in the humans are different from what had been discovered earlier. Gene mapping of an individual, which is claim to be the first, has found this new result. Until now the mappings were not based on an individual but were performed on human tissue samples that do not have any identity. This new discovery will disprove the former facts that genetically 99.9% humans are alike.
The research was led by renowned U.S Genomic scientist Craig Venter. The study was published by Craig in the online journal PLoS Biology. Venter stated that this new discovery will help to develop better antibiotics.
