Alliance University Encourages Technology Based Smart Education
In worldwide surveys of world’s top universities, not even a single one from India secures a place in the top 200—even though the most intricate institutions to obtain admissions in the world are the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs).
In the recent Times Higher Education World University Rankings for 2016-17, over 800 universities from 70 countries were covered in which 17 were Indian universities. Institutes like Indian Institute of Science (251-300 range) and IIT-Mumbai (351-400 range) could make to the top of the list. Perhaps, there might be many reasons why these esteemed institutions from India could not qualify as the hubs of excellence in the universal ranking. The obvious reasons to observe are the persistently declining competence of teachers and the absence of advancement in course contents.
The current education system has remained unmodified for centuries now. In the prevailing digital economy where all well-run information is available with a single click, the old education system needs to change. Today nearly all students have gadgets with quick access to Google and can get up-to-date information instantly. However, the disadvantage is that the education curriculum and in India remains the same.
Prof. Sudhir G. Angur, Chancellor of Alliance University explains, “There is no point overloading the young brains with surplus data which they hardly use after school or college. It is imperative to modify the education system wherein the students can manage information online and have ample of energy to address real-time problems.”
Alliance University believes that in order to flourish in the knowledge economy, we must appoint top-notch talents and invest wisely in technology. Customarily, every country thrives only when it has the best education and learning system run by the smart and knowledgeable people.
