American Woman Pays $84K to Hunt Pakistan’s Rare Beast

 

CHITRAL: An American woman hunted the Kashmir Markhor, an indigenous animal, for the first time in the history of Chitral, Shahzada Amir Hasanatuddin General Secretary of Alburkhan Wildlife Conservation Committee told this scribe.

He said that Ms. Kathery of the US paid some $84,000 USD to get a hunting trophy and permit from the wildlife department for the Markhor. He said that American hunter was fully supported by Alburkhan Wildlife Conservation Committee members, who were shown a young and sound Kashmir Markhor at Toshi conservation area which was chosen by the lady.

The lady hunter climbed the mountainous area of Toshi Conservation area and hunted a Kashmir Markhor with 44 inches of horn. He said that this is the first time in the history of Chitral that an American lady hunted Kashmir Markhor successfully at Chitral.

He said that Chitral is a peaceful place and there is no risk or any tension for foreigners tourists and hunters. He said that Chitral having rich potential of wild life like Kashmir Markhor, Ibex, Snow Leopard etc which attracting domestic and foreign tourists and hunters. He said that American Lady hunted Makrhor with 44 Inches horns which would be expanded one inch more after extracting the skin.
