Amitabh Bachchan makes his appearance on BBC One’s ‘The One Show’

For a few split seconds, it appeared as Bollywood Megastar Amitabh Bachchan looked a tad bit nervous as geared up to talk to the hosts of BBC One’s ‘The One Show’ Matt Baker and Alex Jones. But, with the charm that he allures and the magnificent personality that he is, Bachchan did manage to leave the hosts and the audience in awe and our doubts were cleared. The actor was in the country for the launch of his U.K voice blogging service called ‘Vogging’, through which he connected one to one basis with his fans in the country.

Later on, the actor made his appearance on BBC’s Radio 2 with Chris Tarrant, host of the ‘Who Wants to be a Millionaire’. Bachchan on his social networking profile called Chris ‘a friend and a great person’. Since Amitabh himself had the opportunity to host the Indian format of this show, titled, ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’, one can guess that Chris and him had a lot to share about. As the actor himself tweeted saying, Chris and I started off together .. Anxious apprehensive on what we were getting into .. Life does strange things ..”

Apparently, the actor also visited the Oxford University and attended the lecture and dinner hosted by the Oxford Centre for Hindu Studies (OCHS), in an effort to plan the strengthening of  the relationship between the University and Indian subcontinent, and Hindu studies. “It is a great honour to be received so warmly by this ancient and renowned University,” the actor was quoted saying on the University’s website. “This lecture and dinner is the OCHS’s way of acknowledging and honouring Mr Bachchan’s contribution to modern Indian culture,” said Shaunaka Rishi Das, Director of the OCHS, on the website.
