Even after registering the complaint at the Pandua police station of Hooghly district of West Bengal,the police have done nothing to nab the culprits. "It’s a serious issue. but it seems that police are taking the issue lightly," said one of the complainer, who refused to be named. The job aspirants from poor families become the victim of Unscrupulous agents like Bikram Shaw. Several people of different districts of Bengal including S. 24 Pgs, N. 24 Pgs, Hoogly who lost their money through him have initially approached Pandua, Titagarh, Bijpur police stations with their complaints.
The job seekers alleged that it would not be possible for the agents to take jobless youths for a ride without the involvement of some railway officials. They also alleged that Bikram a resident of Maniktolla Road, Halisahar N. 24 Pgs not only collected Rs 2 t0 3 Lakhs from each of them over the last two to three years,they even provided them with false appointment letters and ID cards. They even threatened them that they would kill them, if they ask them to return back the money.
According to sources, Bikram along with his associates Chandan Shaw, Amit Shaw, Yadav run an inter-state racket which duped hundreds of unemployed youths with promise of government jobs.
