"Jang Geum’s Dream" is an anime but it’s not a Japanese anime but a Korean anime. It is a Korean anime series that spans for up to twenty-six episodes. Taking a look at this animation, I can say that Jang Geum’s Dream has a high quality as that presented in various Japanese anime titles. It would seem that the creators of Jang Geum’s Dream very much have gotten their inspiration from the various Japanese anime titles in existence today. The setting takes place in Korea during the feudal times in Japan. During the Feudal Era of Japan, there were many things going on in the nation of Korea. This is basically a look at Korea centuries before it got split into both South Korea and North Korea.
The physics seem to be inspired by that of the various Kung-Fu flicks. This anime is created by the companies "Sonokong" and "Heewon Entertainment." It is an animated spin-off from their historical drama called "Dae Jang Geum." Jang Geum’s Dream revolves around a young girl who is a young version of Jang Geum. She enters the Royal Kitchen as a palace servant. Historically, Jang Geum is the first royal physician of Korea’s Joseon Dynasty. Like the show, the anime focuses a lot on traditional Korean culture along with Korean royal court cuisine and medicine.
Before being the royal physician, she was the palace chef. Jang Geum’s Dream revolves around Jang Geum as she became a servant for the Royal Kitchen. She created something called tadpole noodles, which have proven to be a hit at the wedding ceremony. The nobles have felt that this is the best thing they have ever tried. They also added that they have never tasted anything so delicious in the royal court. Jang Geum is thanked for her services. She then explains that she wants to be a first class chef. Keep in mind that unlike its live TV counter part, Jang Geum’s Dream has no killing. Jang Geum’s Dream is something that’s for the young audiences.
There are many things that aren’t revealed in the anime but are revealed in the live-action TV series. It’s an interesting anime counterpart on the life of Jang Geum. This very is an interesting anime series. For anybody that is interested in Korean history, watching something like Jang Geum’s Dream is a good start. The plot and feeling are very much light and humorous.
As it’s a Korean anime series, the language is initially in Korean. However, there is a Japanese dubbed version. Either way, there are English subtitles in both versions of Jang Geum’s Dream. It seems as if the series was released recently. However, it’s very much unknown whether if or when it will be released to the United States. But, it’s very unlikely that something like Jang Geum’s Dream will be dubbed into English and relased to North America.
