Annual Charri yatra for Sukrala Mata flags off by JK Minister

 

Jammu, March 21 (Scoop News) –    J&K Minister of State for Finance and Planning, Dr. Manohar Lal Sharma, today flagged off the 12th annual Charri Yatra for Goddess Sukrala Mata, Bilawar from Mata Vaishno Devi Temple, Bhagwati Nagar.

Being organised by a devotee, Lucky Baba, the yatra took about 500 people including males, females and children in 6 buses for seeking holy blessings of the Goddess Sukrala Devi. The devotees started their yatra for the revered shrine amidst chanting of spiritual slogans and bhajans.

The Minister wished a peaceful and smooth religious journey to the devotees and urged upon them to pray for peace, prosperity and progress in the state in the Sacred Temple.

Terming spiritual blessings as of utmost importance in today’s perplexed times, the Minister said that such programmes provide us an opportunity to have darshan and seek blessings of our Gods and Godesses. He said that we should devote ourselves to the worship of God equally as we give time to our worldly needs and greeds.

Dr. Manohar Lal said that India is land of Great saints and sufis and religious destinations and to be born in such sacred land is a privilege for us and we should make optimum use of this opportunity to better our lives.

   MLC, Sawarn Lata and prominent citizens were also present on the occasion.
