Central Advisor of Muslim Liberation Front Nepal Sabir Khan has disappeared from Banke district since 18 May. According to his son Alam Khan, his father had gone out of home to have tea in a nearby teashop but did not return home even within 24 hours.
Alam believed his father Sabir was abducted by an armed group called JTMM engaged in killing and robberies in the Indo-Nepal border region.
Besides, the disappeared had got many threats from the armed group, says Alam whose house had been recently searched by the same group.
It has been revealed that Sabir Khan is a Banke-based Maoist activist targeted by rightist armed groups opposed to the latest changes in the country.
