Anthony Franz is suing Shaw’s Crab House restaurant in Chicago for giving him a tapeworm in 2006 that grew to an astonishing nine feet long.
Anthony Franz fell terribly sick after eating a salmon salad he ordered at Shaw’s Crab House. He is now suing for $100,000, claiming that the restaurant was negligent in serving him improperly prepared fish.
Representatives from Shaw’s Crab House deny that the tapeworm originated in their food. A pathologist who inspected the tapeworm that Anthony Franz eventually passed said that it was caused by undercooked fish.
