The Hyderabad city police on Sunday arrested three persons and seized two Chinese antique idols and five daggers worth crores of rupees from their possession.
The Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (Task Force), A. S. C. Wesley, at a press conference here, on Sunday said M. Venkata Raju alias Golden Raju, 38, a resident of Himayatnagar along with his associate G. Manohar Reddy, 43, from Kadapa district, were planning to sell ancient daggers to some unknown persons when they were nabbed.
The price that they quoted for these artefacts was Rs.1.25 crore at Nampally.
Raju was running a shop at Basheerbagh, while his accomplice Reddy was a real-estate broker
