APHC appeals for descalation of tension on Indo-Pak border in J&K

Srinagar, October 21 (Scoop News)-Terming the escalation of tensions on borders as concern for the whole region, All Party Hurriyat Conference (APHC) Sunday appealed the leadership of both the countries to take bold steps by initiating a dialogue process to solve the main source of confrontation – Kashmir issue.

APHC in press statement said that the major brunt of the border tensions has to be borne by the Kashmiris living across the divided border.

The party said apart from losing their lives and property, the border inhabitants on both sides of the divide have to also migrate from their homes in view of tensions.

Instead of military confrontation in the context of Kashmir,APHC said it believes that the meaningful dialogue between all the stake holders is the only way to solve the vexed issue. It said the tensions and confrontations over the past 60 years have borne no fruit.

Expressing serious concern over the aggression of police and other forces against the residents of Pattan, APHC said the inhabitants were made hostage in their own houses on the very second day of Eid. The party termed it as worst example of state sponsored terrorism.
