APHCC demands to constitute single Shrine Board for all JK temples,shrines

Jammu, September 20 (Scoop News)-All Party Hindu Coordination Committee (APHCC) demanded constitution of single Shrine Board for all the temples and Shrines of Jammu and Kashmir.

While addressing media persons, Shri Ram Sena State President, Rajiv Mahajan mentioned that the State Government asked for the suggestion in the passing of temples and shrine bill.

Mahajan said “We have no objection in the said Bill but we demand that the Bill be passed in the name and style of ‘J and K Hindu Shrine Board’. The temples of Kashmir are not only in poor condition but the temples in Jammu are in no better condition than that of Kashmir temples.”
Mahajan emphasised that the temples of Jammu be also include in the said Bill.

Meanwhile, Mahajan threatened to sit on Dharna on 27th September, outside Press Club, Jammu at 10:00 AM if State Government failed to constitute the desired single Shrine Board for all temples and Shrines of Jammu and Kashmir.

He alleged that land comprising of thousands of kanals belonging to various temples and shrines has been sold in J and K, but there is no agency to check all this.

He further alleged that the devotees are being exploited by priests of the temples and shrines and misuse the donations. So, it is the need of the hour to protect the funds and property of the Hindu shrines and temples on the pattern of Aquaf Board and District Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee, in the interest of Hindus and it is only possible if the single Shrine Board for all temples and shrines is constituted, he added.

The committee appealed to all Hindu organizations to come forward and support the genuine demand of single Shrine Board for all temples and shrines in Jammu and Kashmir to do away with monopoly of some vested interests.

Those organizations who supported the religious cause were include Shri Ram Sena, Rural Women Foundation, Shiv Sena Hindustan, Kranti Dal, Bhartiya Mazdoor Sangh, Dharmarth Trust Sudhar Sangarsh Samiti, Rashtryawadi Shiv Sena and J and K Freedom Fighter Association.

Prominent among those who were present in the press conference were include Sunita Sharma, Heena Jamwal (Rural Woman Foundation), Pritam Sharma (Kranti Dal), Karnal Singh (Bhartiya Mazdoor Sangh), Rajesh Kesari (Shiv Sena Hidustan), Vikas Devan (Rashtryawadi Shiv Sena), Ved Gandotra and Bhushan lal Gupta (J&K Freedom Fighter Association).
